Before each level, you must choose tires from five rubber compounds (soft/medium/hard/wet/all-season). Different compounds have drastically different response curves to temperature, wear, and grip. Tire Compounds also allows the use of different compounds on the front and rear tires (mixing and matching).
Gameplay: You need to choose a compound based on track temperature, corner density, and the expected probability of rain. Choosing the wrong compound will result in a significant drop in lap time or premature wear.
Skill Pack Details:
Compound Simulator (Quickly simulates theoretical lap times for three compounds before the race)
Mix and Match Balancing (Automatically adjusts brake ratio when using different compounds on the front and rear tires)
Mid-Range Tire Change (Only allows tire changes during pit stops, but time loss is doubled)
Level Introduction:
Levels 100-300: Constant temperature dry track, choose between soft, medium, and hard.
Levels 301-750: Intermittently watered sections, requiring a wet tire and dry tire strategy.
Levels 751-1450: Temperature fluctuations (10°C~40°C), recipe response changes.
Levels 1451-2500: Front tires wear out faster than rear tires, requiring asymmetrical recipes.
Levels 2501-3900: Random rainfall, low recipe tolerance.
Levels 3901-5900: Limited number of available recipes (only two can be selected).
Levels 5901-8000: No recipe information—inference is based solely on road feel and the performance of the vehicle ahead.
